Job Title: Support Services Executive Director (UAE NATIONALS)
Job Location: Dubai, UAE
Guide and lead the Support Services Sector through achieving the management plan and facilitate the process of report preparation on different activities of General Affairs, Finance, and Human Resources and submit them to the Director General. Oversee revenue distribution processes.
Duties & Responsibilities
Oversee the effective operation of Finance, Human Resources, General Affairs’ functions across the FTA.
Ensure the implementation of the Support Services Sector’s strategy in line with FTA’s overall objectives, mission and vision.
Oversee the alignment of all Support Services Sector activities with the FTA’s overall strategy and their compliance with internal audit and risk management procedures.
Propose Support Services Sector’s objectives and KPIs for sign off by the FTA Director General.
Review and approved the setting, consolidation, monitoring, and allocation of the Support Services Sector’s budget.
Review and approve Departments’ consolidated policies, procedures and processes.
Monitor adherence of the Support Services Sector’s operations to FTA policies and procedures.
Review all periodic reports prepared by Support Services Sector Directors to advise the FTA Director General on all Support Services activities.
Review and approve FTA’s Consolidated Final Account, and ensure its reporting to DG, and subsequently to relevant Government entities.
Oversee the allocation of revenues, and revenue distribution activities and make sure they are alignment with the legislations.
Consolidate Departments’ workforce plans, and develop recruitment and succession planning strategies for Senior-level positions.
Manage the process by which all the Support Services Sector Directors acquire the required skills and knowledge through appropriate training programs in coordination with the HR department.
Support revenue management activities owned in Tax Affairs.
Manage relations with critical stakeholders (both internal and external).
Oversee that all the technology needs of the Support Services Sector are identified and catered for, and that processes are performed efficiently and cost-effectively.
People Related Roles
Monitor performance of the Support Services Sector, based on key metrics and report to FTA Director General.
Provide direction and guidance to Department Directors within the Sector, and provide assistance in resolving key issues that may affect the overall operation of Support Services Sector.
Educational Qualifications and Certifications
Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or other relevant degree
Preferred: Master’s Degree in Business Administration or related discipline (Finance, Accounting, Management) or other relevant degree
Minimum: 16+ years’ of experience in corporate functions
Preferred: 1) 8+ years’ experience in a senior management role
Extensive experience managing Support Services functions in the public sector
Demonstrated skills in leadership and management
Advanced understanding in the area of complex corporate functions
Languages: Excellent communication skills in Arabic and English
